Davido Releases Visuals For Hit Single ‘Unavailable’

Nigerian superstar Davido has released the first music video from his fourth album, “Timeless.” The music video for “Unavailable,” featuring South African star Musa Keyz, is directed by Dami Twitch and showcases Davido’s return to the limelight.

In the video, he joins dancers dressed in colorful South African traditional attire while delivering steps from the trending “Unavailable” TikTok challenge.

“Timeless” was released on March 31, 2023, and has since enjoyed widespread reception as it broke multiple first-week records across all major streaming platforms in Nigeria.

The album broke records in the top 100 on TurnTable Top 100, with eight entries in the top 10. “No Competition,” featuring Asake, entered at No. 1, while all 17 songs on the album entered the top 40.

The album has shattered multiple African and Nigerian records across all five major streaming platforms in Nigeria. “Timeless” set a new all-time record for the biggest debut for any album in Spotify Nigeria history, tallying 14.5 million streams during the week of March 31 to April 6, surpassing the previous record of 4.89 million streams set by Burna Boy’s “Love, Damini.”

Davido’s “Timeless” has also broken the record for the biggest debut week for any album on Apple Music Nigeria, and it set a new record for the most streams in a debut day for an African album on Apple Music globally.

The album had over 12 million streams in its first 24 hours, more than any other album in the history of Audiomack. It also holds the record for the biggest week recorded for any Nigerian or African album on Audiomack history.

“Timeless” broke the record for the biggest debut week on Boomplay Nigeria, tallying over 22 million streams on the platform after four days of release, surpassing the previous record of 18.8 million streams set by “Love, Damini” (July 8-14, 2022).

The success of “Timeless” reinforces Davido’s status as one of Nigeria’s most successful musicians and underscores his ability to command the attention of audiences worldwide.
