Somto BisinaHiba Abouk, the model and actress, has opened up about her recent divorce from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) superstar Achraf Hakimi. Abouk, who filed for divorce from the Moroccan footballer, was shocked to discover that none of Hakimi’s wealth was in his name, but rather in his mother’s name.
This means that Abouk won’t receive any share of the player’s fortune, despite Hakimi earning close to €300,000 per week from his club.
In a statement issued via The News International, Abouk expressed her reaction to the situation, saying, “Remember, you can’t control everything in life, but you can control how you react to it. Abouk remained calm about the situation despite the rape charges against Hakimi, but admitted that she needed time to process the shock. In an interview with ELLE, Abouk shared, “I am fine. There are days when it is like this, and others in which you’ve to know how to take blows and make decisions, sometimes complicated, and get used to new situations.
“Who would’ve imagined that in addition to facing the usual pain that a separation entails and accepting the grief that the failure of a family project to which I had given myself body and soul entails, I would’ve to face this ignominy. I needed time to digest this shock.”
Abouk emphasized the importance of taking time to make decisions in moments of crisis, and acknowledged the emotional complexity of separating with two children involved. However, she remained resolute and focused on finding peace of mind in knowing that she had tried and done everything she needed to do.
Meanwhile, there have been claims that the divorce settlement could be complicated due to Hakimi’s significant wealth registered in his mother’s name. Abouk and Hakimi share two children together, Amín, aged 3, and Naim, aged 1.
