Lance Reddick has reportedly passed away at the age of 60. According to TMZ, the outlet spoke directly with law enforcement sources who confirmed the actor and musician’s death on Friday.

According to the outlet, Reddick’s body was discovered at his Studio City home in Los Angeles, California on Friday morning. His body was found around 9:30 a.m.

Although the actor’s cause of death is “currently unclear,” the outlet reports that law enforcement sources “say it appears to be natural.”

Additionally, TMZ reports that Reddick was currently on a press tour for the fourth film in the ‘John Wick’ movie franchise. He was set to sit down with Kelly Clarkson on her daytime talk show next week.

Despite the busy schedule, Reddick had taken to Instagram on Wednesday to share that he was enjoying his time at home with his dogs. The 60-year-old shared a photo with a short caption.

According to TMZ, Reddick was supposed to be in attendance at the ‘Wick 4’ premiere that evening. However, never explained why he didn’t attend.

Lance Reddick was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He reportedly earned a music degree from the University of Rochester. Then went on to get his Master of Fine Arts from Yale University.

Reddick went on to play the fictional Baltimore Police Department officer Cedrick Daniels in HBO’s hit series, ‘The Wire.’ Additionally, his character appeared in all five seasons and Reddick became admired for his work on the show.

Outside of his role in the ‘Wick’ movies, Reddick also appeared in films such as ‘Angel Has Fallen’ and ‘Godzilla Vs. Kong.’

Furthermore, Reddick also had “unreleased projects” in the works such as the Disney+ series, ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians.’
