New York City is set to witness an extraordinary cultural extravaganza as Buckwyld Media Network and BHM partner to present “Naija To The World,” a groundbreaking showcase that will explore the rich and diverse culture of Nigeria.

This debut event will take place at the iconic Apollo Theatre on September 16, 2023, following a journey through several Nigerian cities, including Lagos, Port Harcourt, Benin, Abuja, and Jos.

For over half a century, the world has known Nigeria as a major exporter of crude oil, but now the spotlight is shifting to a different export – music. Emerging from the Niger Delta, the heart of Nigeria’s oil production and responsible for over 80% of the country’s GDP.

A group of talented performers are about to take the stage in New York City, bringing with them their stories, music, fashion, food, and more.

Efe Omorogbe, the CEO of Buckwyld Media Network, and Ayeni Adekunle, founder of BHM, have expressed their vision for “Naija To The World.”

They aim to present an alternative narrative about Nigeria and Nigerians, showcasing the country’s culture and creativity through live concerts, exhibitions, films, and documentaries.

Their goal is to introduce the world to the diverse aspects of the Nigerian lore, culture, and experiences while Nigerian music and film continue to gain global recognition.

The inaugural event of “Naija To The World” will spotlight the cultural stories and music from the Niger Delta region, which has been the cradle of numerous talents in Nigeria’s creative industry for the past 25 years.

The region, known for its rich cultural history, has faced challenges in achieving creative and economic success despite being a major contributor to Nigeria’s GDP.

The organizers are also planning a documentary and pop-up events across Nigeria and parts of New York City. The Apollo Theatre Concert promises to reveal untold stories from Nigeria’s south-south region and showcase some of the biggest names in Nigerian arts over the past century, from poets to musicians, filmmakers, dancers, and comedians.

Aiming to engage millions of fans, “Naija To The World” will involve pop-up events, talent shows, and community gatherings in historic African communities across America.

The live concert at the Apollo Theatre will be attended by 1,500 fans, while millions more will watch and listen through broadcast partners across North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.

This groundbreaking showcase is just the beginning, as “Naija To The World” plans to become an annual series, featuring the brightest stars from Africa headlining at iconic music venues worldwide.

Beyond curated concerts, the series will also produce themed biographies, biopics, and documentaries in collaboration with select platforms.

“Naija To The World” is not only a celebration of Nigeria’s vibrant culture but also an opportunity to rewrite the narrative and shed light on the diverse talents that the Niger Delta region has produced.

Through this showcase, the world will witness the resilience, creativity, and potential of a region that has been integral to Nigeria’s growth and prosperity.

As the countdown to September 16 begins, the anticipation builds for an unforgettable event that will showcase the best of Nigeria’s music, culture, and artistic brilliance.

From the beats of Afrobeat to the flavors of Jollof Rice, “Naija To The World” promises to be a transformative experience, fostering cultural exchange and appreciation on the global stage.
