Fans Lament Burna Boy’s Late Entry, Rude Comments

Burna Boy’s Love Damini Lagos concert, took a wild turn on Sunday as the Grammy Award-winning singer angered his fans for appearing late at his show and for making late rude remarks.


After keeping fans waiting for about four hours, Burna who was expected to show up on stage on Sunday evening didn’t appear until the early hours of Monday morning, keeping thousands of fans waiting.


Sensing that the situation may take a turn for the worst, Burna Boy appeared suddenly in his majestic style in a see-through black shirt on black trousers at 3 am as he tried to explain the reasons for his late appearance on stage.
He blamed his lateness on the fact that the lights were turned off for hours for no reason, urging his fans who at that time were becoming impatient to calm down and enjoy the show.

Some angry fans took to Twitter to call out the singer for starting his performance late at the event-themed ‘Love Damini Concert’.

According to attendees, the show started at 9 pm and Burna Boy didn’t show up on stage till about 3 am.
Sharing a video from the event, @ade_adeayo tweeted, “The situation on the ground. Almost 2 am and Burna Boy’s concert is yet to start.

“Some people have been around since 9 pm. For an artist with the highest level of international exposure, this is beyond terrible and unprofessional.”

Giving an update, the tweep wrote, “The band is playing and Burna Boy appears on stage at 3:30.

Joey Akan, an Entertainment commentator, tweeted, “You queue for six hours for fuel; still stand six hours for Burna Boy. Life tough!”

Recall that, early last year, news filtered out that the singer allegedly shot and killed a man in a club in Lagos after he was said to have made passes at the man’s wife.

In response to that allegation, Burna Boy went on a tirade spree, saying many people have said a lot of negative things about him but he loves his fans hence the reason he came out to entertain them.

Burna Boy was quoted saying:” You have abused me and called me a killer, abused my mama say she danced for Fela. I love you still. But if you guys don’t love me, God will punish you.”
While some fans apologized, many fans left the Love Damini Concert, very disappointed.
