Low Voter Turnout, As INEC Officials Wait In Bauchi

Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission at the Kofar Maigari Usman 024 polling unit in the Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State arrived at the polling unit early on Election Day.

However, the officials are waiting for voters to turn out to cast their votes as a low turnout of voters is observed.

Meanwhile, only six voters had cast their ballots as of the time of filing this report. Also, there were no more voters in the queue, and only party agents, election officials, and security officers were left at the polling unit. Election materials arrived on time and voting commenced as scheduled.

In related news, some residents were seen carrying food items in a white sack along Ahmadu Bello Way, in the metropolis, suspected to be for voter inducement. It was observed that the food items were being brought from a particular house along the street.
