On June 18, 2023, Davido took to social media to express his emotions and share his struggles with his followers. In a heartfelt message, Davido acknowledged that this Father’s Day was particularly challenging for him.
Despite the immense grief he carries in his heart, he expressed gratitude to God for giving him the strength to endure such trying times. “Difficult Father’s Day for me…. But I thank God for strength,” he wrote.

This year marks Davido’s first Father’s Day without Ifeanyi. The young boy tragically lost his life in a drowning accident at Davido’s Banana Island mansion. It was a devastating incident that occurred while his parents were away in Ibadan. Ifeanyi was three years old at the time of his untimely passing.
