The poignant message shared on the church’s social media platform expressed profound submission to the divine will: “The Fountain of Life Church Family, in total submission to the will of God Almighty, announces the passing unto greater glory of our Father, Teacher, a great servant of the Most High God, Pastor Daniel Taiwo Odukoya, Founding Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, who passed unto glory on the 7th of August 2023 in the USA.

We are in total submission to you LORD!!! We thank the Lord for the gift of a greater leader!!!” This sorrowful event arrives less than two years after the heartbreaking loss of Pastor Odukoya’s wife, Nomthi, a South African, who succumbed to cancer on November 9, 2021, following a valiant two-year battle. The couple’s union spanned 11 years and was blessed with two sons.

The story of Pastor Odukoya’s life is punctuated by both triumph and tragedy. Prior to his marriage to Nomthi, he was married to Bimbo for a remarkable 21 years. Bimbo, also a pastor at Fountain of Life Church, perished tragically in the 2005 Sosoliso plane crash in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State.

Her legacy is enduring, primarily through her pioneering work in the “Single and Married” ministry, which has been lauded for its guidance to youths and couples seeking fulfilling and lasting relationships.

The year 2021 marked yet another sorrowful chapter in Pastor Odukoya’s life, as he bid farewell to his twin sister, Kehinde Hassan, due to complications from cancer.

The indomitable spirit of Pastor Odukoya carried him through these adversities, leaving an indelible impact on the lives he touched.

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya’s legacy lives on through the lives he influenced and the spiritual foundation he laid. At the age of 67, his journey on this earth has concluded, but his teachings and inspiration will continue to guide generations to come.
