This unique event marks the celebration of International Cinema Day and offers an exceptional opportunity for everyone to experience the magic of the big screen at discounted rates.

Opeyemi Ajayi, the National Chairman of CEAN, shared the news in a statement released on Tuesday from Lagos. Ajayi explained that this initiative aims to not only reward existing cinema-goers but also entice former patrons back to the cinema while also fostering a renewed interest in cinema-going among Nigerians.

Joining hands with cinemas in the United Kingdom and the United States of America, Nigeria’s cinemas are gearing up for a memorable occasion – The National Cinema Day.

On September 2, 2023, more than 50 cinema locations across the nation will open their doors to cinephiles, offering movie tickets at a significantly discounted price of ₦‎1,000.

This innovative endeavor is poised to bring people of all ages together to relish a day dedicated to movies. With over 100 screens participating, attendees will have the freedom to choose any movie of their liking and enjoy it for the exclusive price of ₦‎1,000.
