GTBank Hosts Popular American Chef, Jessica Craig For Lagos Masterclass On Pastry Skills

GTBank will be hosting New York’s celebrated pastry chef, Jessica Craig, in its 2023 edition of “GTCO Food and Drink” to take participants through the process of making decadent desserts.

The bank, which has already sent invitations to millions of its customers across the country to register as participants, said  the one-hour training would simply be an “Exclusive Master Class on  Decadent Desserts and Pastry Techniques with  the Celebrated Pastry Chef” on Saturday 30th April at 2p.m.

GTBank, in its messaging, said the  programme would be anchored on the topic: “The Art of Pastry: Techniques and Tips for creating Stunning Desserts”, and GTBank said will allow Craig take participants through the process of making ‘Decadent Desserts’. It said the gesture was part of its commitment to promoting business enterprise.

It listed the GTCO Food and Drink festival dates as April 29, 30 and May 1, 2023 at the Plot 1 Walter Corporation Drive, Oniru venue between the hours of 10 am and 10 pm daily.

Jessica Craig is an Executive Pastry Chef at NYC restaurant, L’Artusi. With over 20 years of professional pastry experience under her belt.

The bank said the renowned guest chef had seen the ups and downs of the business, having been cooking her whole adult life.

“About five and a half years of Craig’s experience is from kitchens in the Hamptons. It was during that time that Craig found her first mentor in pastry chef, Molly Harding.”

Inspiration for Craig’s desserts comes from travel, dining out and strolls through the farmers’ market to see what’s available and in season. She has the most experience with Italian, Mediterranean, French, and American cuisines.

Craig was born and raised in Long Island and belongs to a huge Jamaican family with six sisters and four brothers. She has been drawn to the kitchen since childhood.  When it came time for college, Craig earned degrees in culinary arts and hospitality management from the New York Institute of Technology.
