Ekiti Polytechnic Empower 700 Students

Ajayi Polytechnic in Ikere Ekiti, under the leadership of its founder, Dr. Busayo Ajayi, has provided scholarships to more than 700 students of the institution.

The scholarship program aims to support parents with low income, and the institution plans to extend the offer to an additional 1000 students in the upcoming academic session.

Dr. Ajayi emphasized the institution’s commitment to making education accessible and affordable for all, ensuring that deserving students have the opportunity to pursue their studies without financial constraints.

During the maiden combined convocation ceremonies for five sessions and the sixth Founder’s Day celebration of the institution, 263 National Diploma graduates were officially recognized for their achievements.

Dr. Ajayi stated that Ajayi Polytechnic is steadfast in its mission to nurture entrepreneurial-driven individuals and skilled technicians who will contribute positively to society.

He urged the graduands to embrace their dreams and aspirations, despite the challenges facing the country, and to become exceptional ambassadors of the institution.

One of the guests at the event, Mrs. Bosede Jegede, the Executive Secretary of the State Scholarship Board, who represented the Ekiti State Government, commended the polytechnic for its efforts in shaping the lives of the graduates.

She highlighted the significance of the training they received, emphasizing that it would equip them to make a positive impact on Nigeria through their various endeavors.

Dr. Bolanle Ajayi, the Acting Rector, expressed the institution’s pride in its growth and achievements. Notable developments include infrastructural improvements, the establishment of an entrepreneurship unit, vocational programs, and the creation of the NABTEB Centre for Ordinary Level students.

Dr. Ajayi called for support from philanthropists, education enthusiasts, and well-meaning Nigerians, acknowledging that their contributions would greatly assist the polytechnic in fulfilling its mission and vision.

The commitment of Ajayi Polytechnic to provide scholarships demonstrates its dedication to empowering students and promoting equal access to education.

By alleviating the financial burden on low-income families, the institution is fostering an environment where students can thrive academically and pursue their career aspirations.
