UNN Cancels 2023-2024 Post-UTME

Management of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) on Thursday, announced that it has canceled the 2023-2024 Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for all students who chose the University as their place of study.

According to a memo released by the management, the University said it canceled the exam which was scheduled for October 3, 2023, because of the economic situation and security challenges across the country.

“This is to inform prospective candidates and the general public that the University of Nigeria, Nsukka 2023/2024 Post-UTME Screening Exercise earlier slated to start from Tuesday, October 03, 2023, through Friday, October 18, 2023, will no longer hold,” the memo stated.

“The reconsideration by the Management to waive the post-UTME Screening Test for 2023/2024 Academic Session was occasioned by the prevailing uncertainties and logistical implications of travelling down from various parts of the country at this challenging time,” the management added.

The school also stated that instead of the usual post-UTME exercise, students will be judged based on their verified JAMB UTME scores, O’ Level results, and Direct Entry qualifications, which all prospective students must promptly upload on the school’s portal.

The management also stated that “Other details on the registration for the Screening on O’ Level and Direct Entry results at the UNN portal as already published in our website remain as scheduled.”

The registration for post-UTME started on the 2nd of August and is scheduled to close on Friday, September 15.

The school management also released 2022-2023 admission supplementary 2 for direct entry and regular students. The admission list for Visually Impaired students was also released.
