Irish Chef Alan Fisher Shatters Hilda Baci’s Records

Irish chef Alan Fisher, residing in Japan, recently etched his name into the annals of culinary history by smashing not one, but two Guinness World Records for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

The announcement was made by the Guinness World Records on Tuesday via their official website. Alan Fisher’s extraordinary culinary journey began with the pursuit of a seemingly insurmountable challenge – to break the existing Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon, previously held by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci at 93 hours and 11 minutes.

Fisher surpassed this record with flying colours, cooking continuously for a jaw-dropping 119 hours and 57 minutes, a testament to his indomitable spirit and passion for the art of cooking.

Not content with just one record-breaking achievement, Fisher went on to claim another Guinness World Record, this time for the longest baking marathon.

In a culinary feat that left the world awe-struck, he baked non-stop for an astonishing 47 hours and 21 minutes, smashing the previous record of 31 hours and 16 minutes.

What makes Fisher’s achievement even more remarkable is that he undertook both record attempts consecutively, spending 160 hours straight in the kitchen. This Herculean effort took place at his restaurant, Kyojin Stewhouse, where he is known for serving traditional Irish meals.

To secure his place in the record books, Fisher prepared 550 kg of food and created 3,360 portions of 32 delectable Irish recipes.

Fisher expressed his commitment to the cause, stating, “I was representing myself, my family, and Irish food, and sharing our story. I couldn’t give up.

That was the only option.” The culinary world applauded Fisher’s remarkable achievement, with Guinness World Records commending his “incredible feat of endurance.”
