Lagos State Government To Clear Pension Backlog By December

The Lagos State government has pledged to clear the lingering backlog of pensions by the end of 2023, ensuring that retirees receive their entitlements promptly. This announcement was made by Mr. Afolabi Ayantayo, the Commissioner for Establishments and Training in Lagos State.

The Commissioner emphasized the government’s unwavering dedication to enhancing the civil service to meet the demands of the 21st-century public service. He spoke from his office in Alausa, Ikeja, expressing confidence in the state’s consistent track record of pension administration compliance.

Mr. Ayantayo attributed this positive development to Governor Sanwo-Olu’s resolute commitment to resolving the pension backlog.
