Bisina SomtoNigerian music sensation Peruzzi, born Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, finds himself at the center of swirling controversy following a viral tweet alleging a rift between him and his record label boss, Davido, allegedly over an affair with Davido’s wife, Chioma.
The social media sphere was set abuzz when a screenshot emerged, allegedly showcasing a now-deleted tweet by Peruzzi, accusing Davido of ostracizing him due to suspicions about his relationship with Chioma.
The tweet, since removed, claimed a breach in their once close relationship, with Peruzzi expressing frustration at what he perceived as ingratitude.

However, Peruzzi swiftly responded to the circulating screenshot, dismissing its authenticity. In a reposted tweet, he cryptically remarked, “Your own go bad gaannnnn,” suggesting skepticism regarding the legitimacy of the viral tweet.
In subsequent social media exchanges, Peruzzi implied that the screenshot had been doctored, asserting, “You sabi edit abi? You go edit for me wella. No worry.”
In an interview on the Zero Conditions podcast, Peruzzi cleared the air about said riff. Speaking in pidgin, he said “Me and Davido never quarrel since I know am. Like never ever. Not once.”
When asked if they had at least one disagreement, he recounted one incident where he stood his ground because he was absolutely certain about his opinion.
“He [Davido] was going to lay punishment on somebody and I knew it was not that person that did that thing so I actually stood there because the punishment was going to be on the spot.”
Speaking further, Peruzzi addressed the rumours circulating a few months ago about his alleged relationship with Davido’s wife, Chioma.
According to him, the unfounded rumour was never discussed between him and Davido. Peruzzi revealed that he had known Chioma a long time ago adding that they are family friends but not blood related.
