Burna Boy Is The First African To Perform At The Grammy Awards

Grammy-winning Artist Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has claimed the title of the most streamed Sub-Saharan African artist on YouTube.

With over 2.52 billion streams on the platform, Burna Boy has surpassed Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz, who holds 2.37 billion streams.

Following closely, Wizkid secures the third spot on the list of most streamed Sub-Saharan African artists with 1.83 billion streams.

Congolese legend Fally Ipupa takes the fourth position with 1.61 billion streams, while Davido follows closely with 1.50 billion streams.

The top ten also features notable Nigerian artists, including Rema (1.41 billion streams), CKay (1.30 billion streams), Flavour (1.19 billion streams), P Square (1.14 billion streams), and Tekno (1.01 billion streams), showcasing the global impact of Nigerian music on YouTube’s streaming platform.

In related news, Burna Boy, revealed that fake lifestyles attract the crowd. The self-acclaimed ‘African Giant’ explained that the faker a person is, the bigger their circle of friends will be.

He made this known on his Snapchat account while addressing well-known facts about lifestyles.

He wrote: “The faker you are, the bigger your circle will be. The realer you are, the smaller your circle will be. These are well-known facts.”
