'The Origin: Madam Koi Koi' Makes History

“The Origin: Madam Koi Koi”  has secured its place as the country’s most-watched show on Netflix, marking a significant achievement for both the talented cast and dedicated crew behind the production.

Director Jay Franklyn Jituboh expressed his gratitude on Twitter, acknowledging the collective effort that has kept the series at the forefront for an impressive three consecutive weeks.

Co-written by Jibutoh and Dale Falola, the narrative of “The Origin: Madam Koi Koi” unfolds around a dormant dark spirit seeking vengeance on a community that must grapple with the consequences of its forgotten past.

The plot thickens as two inspectors, portrayed by Deyemi Okanlawon and Baaj Adebule, embark on a quest for answers after three mysterious deaths in their town.

The series boasts a stellar cast, including Ireti Doyle, Chioma Akpotha, Chukwuka Jude, Martha Ehinome, and others, each contributing to the captivating storytelling.

Co-producers Jituboh and Michael W. Ndiomu have successfully delivered a riveting experience, with the first part premiering on October 31, 2023, followed by the second part on November 7, 2023.

“The Origin: Madam Koi Koi” now stands alongside other Netflix chart-toppers of the year, such as “The Black Book,” “Ijogbon,” and “Jagun Jagun.”
