Sophia Momodu, the mother of Davido’s daughter Imade, has taken a decisive step by issuing a cease and desist order against the renowned Nigerian singer.

The move comes amidst accusations of cyberbullying, harassment, and threats to Momodu’s life, leading her to threaten legal action if the alleged misconduct does not cease within the next 48 hours.

The formal document, dated January 10, 2023, and presented by Momodu’s legal team, outlines a series of grave allegations against Davido. It asserts that the singer not only engaged in cyberbullying but also resorted to paying blogs to disseminate false statements about Momodu.

The legal notice emphasizes that these actions have resulted in distress and potential harm to Momodu and her close associates.

The document reads, “We write further to our email under reference regarding the conduct of Mr. David Adeleke towards our client, which amounts to cyberbullying, harassment, and threats to the life of our client, Ms. Sophia Momodu, and her close associates.” It goes on to highlight previous attempts to address the matter through emails to Davido’s legal team, which reportedly went unanswered.

The legal team firmly asserts that Davido will be held accountable for any adverse consequences that may befall Momodu due to the ongoing situation.

They stress that their client has been subjected to a barrage of coordinated attacks and cyberbullying orchestrated by Davido and his associates.

Interestingly, Momodu’s legal action comes hot on the heels of a similar petition filed by singer Tiwa Savage against Davido. Tiwa Savage alleged threats to her life, citing her friendship with Davido’s baby mama as the reason. In response to her petition, the Lagos State police initiated investigations into the matter, further intensifying the scrutiny on Davido’s alleged misconduct.
