Nigerian highlife singer Chinedu Okoli, also known as Flavour, announced the passing of his father, Elder Onyemaechi Okoli, on Wednesday, May 22, 2023.

Flavour shared the sad news on his X (Twitter) handle, writing in Igbo: “My father, Ijele’s father, rest well. God gave and God has taken.” Fans and colleagues have been sending condolences through social media.

The family has yet to announce the funeral plans for the deceased
