‘Bad Boys: Ride Or Die’ Lead Nigeerian Box Ofice

Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN), released its latest report, detailing the top 10 films shown in Nigerian Cinemas from June 7 to June 9, 2024.

Leading the table, the Hollywood action film “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” debuted on June 7 and quickly climbed to the number one spot, amassing a total gross of ₦68.9 million.

Coming in second and retaining its position for two consecutive weeks is, Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti”  grossing a total of ₦131.4 million.

“Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti” surpassed last week’s leader, “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” which now sits at third place with a total gross of ₦105.9 million.

In fourth place is crime thriller “Criminal,” which has earned a total of ₦32.3 million, including ₦8.9 million from this past week. Meanwhile, the comedy-drama “Ajosepo” has shown impressive staying power. After earning ₦50.4 million in its first five days back in April, it now ranks eighth with a weekly total of ₦2.4 million and a cumulative gross of ₦251.4 million.

The recently released drama “Deafening Silence,” which premiered on June 7, has brought in ₦1.2 million so far. Rounding out the top ten is “Blacksmith: Alagbede,” a Yoruba movie, with a total gross of ₦62 million and a weekly earning of ₦974,675.
