Oluwatoyin Salau, a young Nigerian woman, stood out as a passionate advocate against police brutality in her community in the United States. Her commitment to social justice led her to the forefront of local protests, where she used her voice to call for change. However, in 2020, her voice fell silent when she mysteriously disappeared.

As the days passed, dread gripped the community. It was a shock when investigators unveiled the horrifying truth: Aaron Glee had abducted Salau, subjecting her to a torturous ordeal spanning three to five days. Heinous acts of rape and violence culminated in her tragic demise.

The chilling sequence of events began when Glee and Salau crossed paths at a bus stop on June 6. Salau, a victim of recent sexual assault, confided in Glee about her lack of a permanent residence. In a twisted turn, Glee offered her refuge, extending an invitation to his home for shelter.

Salau, vulnerable and desperate, accepted his offer, unwittingly sealing her fate. Glee then called upon Victoria Sims, a volunteer who frequently assisted him with meals and transportation. Sims willingly drove them to Glee’s residence, unaware of the darkness that lurked within.

Investigators revealed that Glee raped Salau after she had her shower, killing her afterwards to conceal the crime. ABC27 reported that he tied her up so she struggled to breathe.

Days later, authorities found Salau’s body in Glee’s home, purposely covered in leaves. It was reported that Sims body was also found wrapped in sheets, in a room in the convict’s home. He had kidnapped her from her home and killed her to cover his tracks.

Aggrieved Salau’s friend, Rebecca Figueroa, who reacted to the sentencing, expressed guilt for not being able to protect her.
