Nigerian artists took center stage at the inaugural Trace Awards, held in Rwanda to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Trace company.

On October 21, 2023, the global music industry witnessed an extravagant celebration of talent, music, and culture as musicians, executives, media personalities, stakeholders, and fans from around the world gathered in Rwanda.

The night was filled with remarkable performances, featuring the likes of Davido, Yemi Alade, and ODUDMODUBLVCK. Davido, in particular, stood out, thanks to his record-breaking fourth album, ‘Timeless,’ which earned him the prestigious title of Best African Male.

Rema’s sensational hit, ‘Calm Down,’ secured the Song of the Year award, further solidifying his status as a rising star in the music industry. Meanwhile, Burna Boy‘s sixth album, ‘Love, Damini,’ earned him the coveted Album of the Year prize.
