Explore Insurance Benefits, NCRIB Tells Farmers

THE President, Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers(NCRIB), Bola Onigbogi, has implored farmers to embrace risk management so as to record imperishable benefits and profits in their endeavours in agriculture.

Onigbogi made this known at the Lagos State Farm Service Centre.

She stated that the agric vision of the government geared towards empowerment of young Nigerians in the critical sector was commendable.

She said, “Agriculture has been the basic source of food supply for mankind and contributes significantly to the economic advancement of several countries. It is a critical sector with high irregularities ranging from natural to artificial risks,” she said.

The NCRIB President, who was represented at the Farm Service Centre by the Vice President of the Council, Tunde Oguntade said “the importance of insurance to the development of the agriculture sector in Nigeria cannot be overstated.

She stated that insurance would ensure that policy holders were brought back in case of any catastrophe.

She urged farmers to consider insurance in their plans because of unforeseen circumstances.
