EditorFormer Governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi, has condemned the attack on school children during their WAEC exams, by alleged members of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB).
According to Obi, any attack on students is an attack on education, which in turn falls back on national development, as education remains a critical contributor to national growth.
However, he affirmed that IPOB was not responsible for the attack, as the group had issued press releases on different occasions, suspending the Monday sit-at-home exercise.

In his words, “Since IPOB has announced the suspension of the sit-at-home exercise, it is reasonable to suspect that other forces might be hiding behind IPOB to sabotage the economy of the South-East through such acts.
In conclusion, Obi called on political leaders in the region, to strengthen the bond between them, in order to enhance development in their various states.
