Armed Forces Vow To Make Nigeria Peaceful

A photograph captioned “Alhamdulillah ZamfaraMustSecure”, and several other gory pictures and videos of persons reportedly killed in the ongoing northern military operations and dumped into mass graves, have been circulating the internet.

The Defence Headquarters has however stated that the allegations has no link with the ongoing operations conducted by troops of the Armed Forces of Nigeria(AFN).

Also, Director Defence Information, Maj. Gen Benjamin Olufemi, stated that AFN is truly conducting a successful military operations against bandits and kidnappers in line with the rules of the constitution, which entails professionalism and respect for fundamental human rights.

He condemned the callous act of random individuals linking the ongoing operations to the pictures, and called on them to desist from tarnishing the the reputation of the AFN.

Also speaking, Sawyer, urged the general public to disregard the gory pictures, noting that the AFN will stop at nothing to ensure that Nigeria remains safe and peaceful for her citizens.
