Scammers have targeted USA House, a key venue linked to the Trump administration at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, selling fraudulent “VIP access” tickets to wealthy attendees, including billionaires, for the annual gathering.
Organisers of USA House issued a public warning this week, cautioning participants against purchasing so-called VIP access packages being marketed by unauthorised third parties. According to the organisers, the volume of inquiries received this year suggests the scam is unusually widespread.

They described the fake passes as “the fastest selling fiction about Davos since Thomas Mann’s The Magic Mountain,” while expressing sympathy for those who may have fallen victim to the scam.

USA House is a privately organised American hub located in a church just outside Davos’ main security perimeter. During the WEF, it hosts a packed schedule of panel discussions and events featuring chief executives, senior policymakers, and members of the US administration.
The organisers stressed that USA House does not sell tickets through third-party vendors and that any passes or packages offered by external sellers are invalid and will not be honoured for entry.
The heightened interest in USA House this year is largely driven by the presence of President Donald Trump, who is scheduled to address the World Economic Forum during the meeting. His speech will be live-streamed for audiences gathered at USA House, which is also hosting several top administration officials and members of the US delegation throughout the week.
The World Economic Forum annual meeting brings together global political leaders, business executives and policymakers, making access to high-profile venues and events highly sought after and, as organisers warn, a recurring target for fraudsters.
