The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has executed a major air interdiction operation on a Boko Haram stronghold in the Sambisa Forest, delivering what officials described as a “precision, intelligence-driven strike” on the terrorist enclave known as ARRA.
The operation, carried out on 19 November 2025 by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai, followed weeks of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions triggered by the 17 October ambush on ground troops in Kashomri, Borno State.
According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, the ISR missions tracked suspicious movements and active terrorist structures at ARRA, prompting the coordinated assault. NAF aircraft reportedly engaged the target in multiple attack passes, destroying all designated objectives.
Join our WhatsApp Channel“The strike achieved its intended effect with the complete destruction of all identified targets, significantly degrading the terrorists’ operational capabilities and disrupting their command and logistics networks,” Ejodame said.

He added that the success of the mission reinforces the Air Force’s commitment to supporting ground forces and maintaining pressure on insurgent groups across operational theatres.
However, while the military hailed the operation as a decisive blow against Boko Haram elements, sections of the online community expressed skepticism, citing the absence of imagery or independently verifiable evidence. Critics noted that previous updates were accompanied by recycled visuals and urged the military to release clearer proof to strengthen public trust.
The NAF has not yet responded to the calls for additional transparency but affirmed that counterterrorism operations will continue until all threats are neutralized.
