Israeli PM Claims Khamenei Targeted in Strikes, Fate Remains Unclear

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Saturday that the joint U.S.–Israeli airstrikes on Iran targeted the site where Ali Khamenei was believed to be located.

Netanyahu said the plan to destroy Israel “no longer exists” and suggested there is a “high likelihood that the tyrant does not either.”

He added that there are “many signs that Khamenei is no longer,” though he did not provide independent confirmation of the supreme leader’s status.
