Safadi and Abdelatty explored diplomatic avenues aimed at restoring calm, emphasising the importance of activating political dialogue in a manner that safeguards regional stability and upholds respect for state sovereignty and international law.

They also discussed strengthening coordination mechanisms and promoting joint Arab action to confront emerging regional challenges.

During the call, both ministers condemned what they described as “unjustified Iranian attacks” on Jordanian territory and other Arab states, calling the strikes a violation of international law and national sovereignty.

Safadi reiterated that Jordan would take all necessary measures to protect its citizens and maintain the country’s security and stability. He also expressed the kingdom’s solidarity with members of the Gulf Cooperation Council in their efforts to confront the attacks and safeguard their populations.

For his part, Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s full support for Jordan in addressing the security threats.

Both sides agreed to maintain close consultation and coordination as regional developments continue to unfold.
