President Tinubu on Friday received the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting, which was held behind closed doors, marked Oba Ladoja’s first official audience with the President since his installation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland in September 2025.

The visit is understood to be a courtesy call, consistent with engagements by newly installed traditional rulers with the Federal Government. Oba Ladoja is also the Chairman of the Oyo State Council of Obas.
The meeting comes a day after the Olubadan met with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, in Abuja, where issues bordering on ecological challenges and flooding in parts of Ibadan were reportedly raised.
Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, a former governor of Oyo State, ascended the throne following the death of his predecessor, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin.
As of press time, the Presidency had yet to issue an official statement outlining the outcome of the meeting.
