Tinubu Congratulates Super Eagles on AFCON 2025 Bronze Medal Triumph

President Tinubu has congratulated Nigeria’s senior men’s national football team, the Super Eagles, on their bronze medal finish at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

In a statement on Saturday, the President praised the team’s resilience and fighting spirit, noting that their performance at the tournament made the nation proud despite the disappointment of a semi-final defeat to hosts Morocco.

Tinubu highlighted the Super Eagles’ ability to bounce back from the setback by overcoming Egypt in the third-place match, describing the bronze medal as a hard-earned achievement that “feels as good as gold.”
