The United States government has announced a significant change to its visa policy for Nigerian citizens, limiting most non-immigrant and non-diplomatic visas to single-entry status with a validity period of only three months.
The new directive, which takes immediate effect, applies to all new visa issuances made on or after 8 July 2025. Visas issued prior to that date will retain their current status and validity, according to an official statement from the U.S. Department of State.
