Responding to a journalist who inquired about her family, Annie stated that her only family is her two daughters, Isabella and Olivia, whom she considers her “backbone.”

Speaking in pidgin, she said, “You mean my children? My children dey Kampe. The first one dey Yankee, she dey go school. No play with that girl o. I don’t play with my kids. Na them be my backbone.”

During introduction, Annie left no one in doubt that she has indeed moved on after the marriage debacle as she made ridicule of her former name saying, “My name is Annie Idi—oh sorry, Annie Macaulay. stopping short of asking Idi-Wetin? be adding Hey, Single Ladies!

The shout out to the single ladies, has been interpreted in some quarters as a mild announcement that she has technically become one of them.

Recall that Annie yanked off ‘Idibia’ from her name following the crash of her marriage with 2Baba of the African Queen fame.

In a typical one man’s meat another’s poison scenario, Politician and Edo lawmaker, Natasha Osawaru the new first lady of 2Baba dynasty quickly picked and attached Idibia to her name.

Her lovey-dovey union with the popular Idoma-born singer has since gone beyond the elbow with introduction to Idoma elders done and traditional wedding signed sealed and delivered.

Above all, a re-union of the family, especially with Madam Rose Idibia, has also taken place thus closing the Annie era and opening a new chapter in Natasha era.

Meanwhile, 2Baba’s second son with Sumbo Adeoye, Zion Idibia, recently turned 17, stirring online debate as videos of his private birthday celebration appeared on social media. Zion was seen celebrating alongside his mother, Sumbo, and elder brother, Nino.

Netizens took note of the pleasant family moment, which elicited conflicting views online, particularly given 2Baba’s recent marriage to Natasha Osawaru. Sumbo, the singer’s first baby mama, posted touching photos and videos from the private celebration.

She expressed gratitude to God for adding another year to her child and prayed for further benefits in his life. She wrote “#KingZii 🥳👑 +1 Lord Jesus, I thank you for the gift of Zion. Happy Birthday to you, son ❤️.”

2Baba’s brother, Hyacinth Idibia, extended his warm wishes in the comment sections as fans and netizens also celebrated the youngster.
