Ex-F/Eagles’ Star Daga, Bids Enyimba Bye, Eager To Shine In Norway

Former Flying Eagles midfielder, Daniel Daga, has described his experience with Enyimba as one that will come handy as he aspires to greater height.

Daga who is on the verge of joining Norwegian side Molde said he is looking forward to new opportunities.

The midfielder took to social media to express his gratitude to the club’s management, technical staff, teammates, and fans for their unwavering support throughout his journey with the “People’s Elephant.”

He urged Enyimba currently returning to winning ways after series of poor run in recent times, to continue with the teamwork spirit that has become a tradition in the team.

Reflecting on his time at Enyimba, Daga shared: “From my first game for the People’s Elephant to the last, it was a special privilege to wear and fight for this badge. The achievements we shared as a team, the challenges we overcame together, and the endless support from the 12th player (the fans) will always stay with me.”

He emphasized the importance of teamwork, collective achievements, and unwavering support from fans, coaches, and management, all of which have contributed to cherished memories, adding “I wish you all the best in the second half of the league and hope to see you excel on the continental stage,”

Daga signed a pre-contract with the Norwegian team in 2024, and awaits his 18th birthday this January to finalize his professional deal.

Recall that Daga was part of the Nigerian Under-20 team that made an impressive quarter-final run at the 2023 FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Argentina

After facing challenges over the past two months, Enyimba recently ended a 10-game winless streak with a resounding 4-1 victory over Black Bulls of Mozambique in the Confederation Cup.

This win marks a turning point for the team, which currently sits ninth in the NPFL with 24 points from 16 matches. Just as Daga is exiting the club, former Super Eagles forward Brown Ideye recently joined the club and has since started making impact grabbing one of the goals in the 4-1 defeat Black Bulls.

Enyimba who take on Nasarawa United today in the NPFL, will afterwards host Al Masry in continuation of their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.  A win for Enyimba come January 12 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium will further improve the chances team’s chances of advancing to the next stage.
