Elon Musk gearing up to new role

Businessman and X (formerly twitter) owner, Elon Musk, appears to be shaping up for his new role in Donald Trump’s government as head of newly created department on efficiency.

Ever busy Musk on Twitter posted an acronym which suggests that he is indeed ready for his new assignment after accomplishing the first one, that of working assiduously to ensure that the former President Donald Trump realised his dream of a second term return.

The Acronym D.O.G.E to mean Department On Government Efficiency has come to stay and will no doubt be playing a vital role in Trump’s second administration.

Its major functions will be to x-ray government agencies and departments to locate areas of duplications and areas that are no longer necessary with intent to cutting cost of governance.

Already, there are worries that the move may lead to losses. Not many are quick to key into the new post Spaulding Showalter @S18478Showalter said “Forgive me for my hesitancy, but creating yet another government department/agency seems inefficient.

The Department of Education made Americans less educated, not more. But it did grow the bureaucracy, which maybe was the point?

𝒫𝑒𝓇 𝒜𝓇𝓃𝑒𝓃𝑔 【🦋🐧λ🦀⎈】 @per_arneng agrees that efficiency is important but pointed out that it may not be a hit in government

“While efficiency is important for businesses, in government, it’s not so simple. Short term cuts may save money but often at the cost of jobs and essential services. True success in governance isn’t just about being efficient, it’s about understanding the full impact on society” he submitted

Luke Zaleski @ZaleskiLukeon his part notes that the new role for Elon Musk is part of his takeover of the world adding

“Elon is taking over the world and no one can stop him—or even wants to for some reason. He’s accumulating unprecedented personal wealth and power—tank-trucks, battery cars, media, banking, robots, infrastructure, spaceships, satellites, brain chips—and everyone is sleeping on it”

Nevertheless it does appear that the new department is essential to cut cost as Peter Miller MD @PeterMi1977 predicts

“I grew up in DC. My Dad was always a contractor for the government. The goal here to to trim waste which occurs in ALL area of government but keep services the same. My Dad, a physicist , once told me that we could cut about 70% of all of the jobs and projects in every sector of the government and services would be unchanged and in some cases would get better. Crazy to believe isn’t it? It’s true”

Donald Trump is expected to be sworn in January 20, 2025 to begin his second term as President of the United States.
