Obama who enjoyed two term Presidency from 2009 to 2017, has just released his 2024 summer reading list even as he encouraged his followers to free to recommend books he could check out.
Taking to his X, Obama who was a former United State senator from Illinois said “I’ve read some great books over the last few months and wanted to share some of my favorites. Let me know if you have any recommendations for books I should check out!”
The Africa-American with Kenyan father and American mother also dished out his choice of music for the period under consideration with two Nigerian artists Tems and Rema making the ‘presidential list’ of 44 songs featuring various genres.

On the songs of his choice the Obama told his followers “With summer winding down, I wanted to share some songs that I’ve been listening to lately – and it wouldn’t be my playlist if it didn’t include an eclectic mix. I hope you find something new to listen to!”
Tems and Rema’s inclusion follows previous recognitions for Nigerian artists, including Wizkid and Tems in 2020, Burna Boy in 2022, and Ayra Starr in 2023. Other songs in the list include “Someone to Watch Over Me” featuring Pasquale Grasso, and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Wanna Be” featuring GloRilla.
Obama as a democrat will no doubt be hoping that Kamala Harris clinching the next Presidential election to continue the democrats stay at the White House. Political observers however say it will be battle royal as Republican Candidate and one term President seeks to return.
