And they took to Instagram on Friday night to reveal that their little girl has now arrived.

In a joint post on Instagram, they wrote: ‘September 13, 2024. Welcome Olivia! We can’t express in words so much happiness.’

Former Man United goakeeper. David de Gea, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Patrick Kluivert were quick to congratulate the pair on their great news.

Benjamin Aguero also shared some heartwarming photos of his father holding his tiny daughter.

Benjamin is the grandson of late Argentinian great Maradona, his dad having previously been in a relationship with Gianinna Maradona.

His godfather is also Lionel Messi and he has hopes of following in the footsteps of his family, currently playing at youth level for Independiente.

Agüero was married to Giannina Maradona, the youngest daughter of Diego Maradona. On 19 February 2009, Giannina gave birth to their son, Benjamín, in Madrid.

Diego Maradona was there for the birth of his first grandson, while Agüero, then 20, missed Atlético’s training session earlier in the day.

Atlético offered their congratulations in a statement on their official website. Agüero and Giannina divorced in 2012 after four years of marriage.
