Assistant Inspector General of Police Godwin Eze assumed operational command, enforcing movement restrictions and barring unauthorized security outfits. Multilayered security, including patrols and checkpoints, was implemented to protect voters, election staff, and sensitive materials.

In Kaduna State, heightened political tensions erupted in Zaria when youths booed and disrupted a rally led by Governor Uba Sani and Speaker Tajudeen Abbas.
