Julius OkorieIt was accusation and counter accusation galore as former BBNaija No Loose Guard’ housemates, Zion Ogiefa and Chinwe Elibe, opened up on why their relationship, which some had thought was heading to something bigger; hit the rocks with a bang.
The Zinwe couple, who were already dating before entering the reality show in 2024, confirmed the split on Monday night during BBNaija’s reunion first episode.
Join our WhatsApp ChannelSpeaking at the reunion, Zion said their relationship ended because they were moving in different directions, and accused Chinwe for derailing the love train.
He said, “I basically ended things because I basically felt we were moving in different places in our lives, and how she let it play out.”
A vocal Chinwe will however not have any of that as she berated Zion for misrepresenting their breakup.
Recounting a major incident that led to their fallout, Chinwe said that after travelling to Lagos to celebrate Zion’s birthday, he went clubbing with friends but failed to return home that same night after they had planned to spend time together.

The reality star said she got pissed off, left Lagos angrily and blocked him on all social media platforms and from calling her.
She added that though they attempted to reconcile afterwards, Zion’s constant ghosting made it impossible to salvage the relationship.
“What Zion would not do is sit here and lie on me now. You could have owned the narrative, my love, what do you mean by you broke up with me?” she queried.
The duo had following their eviction left impression that the sizzling romance they maintained in the house would be continued outside the house and would indeed lead to something bigger.
While Chinwe expressed optimism about the future, saying she was eager to embrace life outside the BBNaija house, Zion, on the other hand, reflected on the experience of sharing the confined space with his girlfriend noting that it has taught him the importance of paying attention. With a determined smile, he hinted at the future, saying, “Zinwe for life.”
Recall that Chinwe reportedly missing her period and suspicion of pregnancy had trended while they were in the house and had been caught playing daddy and mummy game in the bathroom.
The romance and its fallout got to a point that fellow housemates Kassia and Victoria, turned maternity nurses in the Big Brother House examining Chinwe following the speculation of a possible pregnancy.
The duo conducted preliminary test typical of nurses in the hospital, checking Chinwe’s eyes and palm to gauge her temperature with a verdict that Chinwe, who has been rocking show with partner Zion in the house may be incubating an additional member of the Big Brother House.
With Monday’s revelation of the crash at the reunion, it is safe to say all the lovey-dovey between the two, now belongs to history.
