If the latest evictee of the BBNaija season 9, Shaun Okojie is to have his way, Housemate Wanni Danbaki will be declared the winner of the contest and the remaining contenders thanked for their participation and told to try next time.

Shaun, who bared his mind in a post-eviction chat with Show host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, said his submission has nothing to do with his romantic connection with Wanni but an unbiased assessment of her performance in various areas of consideration in her 61 days in the house and still counting.

Shaun underscored his objectivity, stating that Wanni’s multifaceted personality makes her the standout candidate:

“Wanni is still my winner. Outside of my relationship with her, Wanni has given a dynamic representation of herself on the show.

“She has seen the highs, she has seen the lows. You’ve seen her being energetic, quiet, outspoken, fighting, apologetic, loving and hating. You’ve seen her doing everything.

“So in terms of the dynamics of a human being, I think she has shown all parts of herself. And this is me being objective. Even if Wanni and I didn’t have anything going on, she would still be my winner because of how dynamic she has been in the house.”

Shaun and Wanni enjoyed sizzling relationship while their stay in the house lasted; with both confirming the relationship but saying they decided to keep it on the low to avoid pressure and distraction from focusing on the ultimate Prize.

Responding to Ebuka’s question on the level of relationship, Shaun had said; “In terms of the status? Well, I would say we are dating to know each other. We haven’t put a formal status on it. But we understand that outside the house, it can be a completely different experience. We don’t want to put ourselves under pressure.” said Shaun

With just 10 days left to the end of the 71-day show, the contest is set to get tougher. Last Sunday witnessed the eviction of three housemates Wandi, Tjay and Shaun at a stretch and next Sunday 29th September promises to be more dramatic.

The show which started with 28 housemates who began the race in pairs and later went solo on Biggie’s orders, have now been reduced by evictions to 9.

The housemates currently in the house are Kassia, Victoria, Onyeka, Ozee, Ocee, Nelly, Anita, Topher and Wanni.

Sunday’s eviction/evictions will reveal a clearer picture of who stands the chance of winning the N100m largesse when the curtain falls on October 6.

Meanwhile Shaun received a surprise package from his fans following his eviction last Sunday. The fans Primebusines.africa understands contributed N3million during a Live Instagram session on Shaun’s page. The fans who dubbed themselves Shaunstars garnished the gift with expression “We love you Shaun”

Certainly his sojourn in the BBNaija house even if he did not win doesn’t look like a bad business does it?
