Notable inclusions are Al-Ittihad standout Abu Shaibab, Al-Nassr’s Mohammed Al-Tabbal, and Barcelona B team player, Ahmed Al-Masmari.

The Libyans are at the bottom of the table in Group D with just one point in two matches, an indication that they will be putting every arsenal in the armoury in the tie against Nigeria with intent to improve their standing and attempt to pick a ticket to the next Nations Cup in Morocco.

Nigeria has never lost competitive match against Libya. The two countries have met five times including the LG Cup and international friendly.

The Eagles won four of the encounters losing the only friendly encounter played in Libya way back in August 2005.

The Libyans have only featured three times at the Nations Cup with their maiden edition in 1982 where they finished as runners up.

The remaining two appearances were in 2006 and 2012 respectively where they crashed out in the group stages.

Only this week the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) gave Coach Austin Eguavoen the green light to continue as Super Eagles coach. Eguavoen  who is being assisted by Rangers Coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu and Remo Stars Coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, already have four points in the kitty after a 3-0 defeat of Benin Republic in Uyo and a goalless draw against Amuvubi of Rwanda in Kigali.

The team will be hoping to consolidate when they face Libya at both home and away.
