The war of words between popular social media activist, Verydarkman (VDM) and renowned clergyman, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has taken a new dimension, with VDM handing the clergyman a national assignment.

Recall that the controversial social media activist had recently called out the Televangelist and founder of Port Harcourt based Salvation Ministries, accusing him of being intolerant to criticism.

It was a direct fallout from a recent statement credited to Pastor Ibiyeomie, who reportedly warned bloggers and Nigerians against speaking negatively about him online, threatening legal action.

The statement drew reactions across social media with Verydarkman latching onto it. While that was raging, the 62-year-old pastor, whose Hour of Salvation television programme runs on 40 stations across the country and still counting made another display that blew the mind of Verydarkman.

The Evangelist had in the course of his preaching said God told him “My son anything you say now I will do it, then added tell them to sleep and not wake up.” He then went ahead to demonstrate. He summoned a young man and told him, young man sleep and the said young man fell backwards. He then called some of his members to do everything they can to make him wake up.

They tried until he said young man by the anointing of the Holy Spirit wake up in Jesus name “‘and he did’ while his congregation watched.

The display got VDM talking as he began quoting sections of the bible, citing 2nd Thessalonians chapter 2:9 and accused the Pastor of being lawless. He further queried the purpose of the display that has just been watched.

He said it was an attempt to make the members say” My pastor can make anybody sleep. What was the purpose of the display unless you are telling you can go to Sambisa forest and cause all the Bokoharam to sleep off so that the Nigerian army can end this insecurity in Nigeria” Unless you can go to all places where herdsmen are ‘kpaing people in Enugu, Benue, Taraba and everywhere and cause them to sleep and they will all sleep and never wake up again so that Nigeria can have  peace I don’t know the purpose of this display of this signs and wonder. The coming of the lawless one” he concluded.

VDM vowed to keep playing a lot of videos of the Pastor saying I will not insult you but only pure criticism”

Meanwhile, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto, founder and head prophet of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry (CMDM) has urged members of Salvation Ministries to defend their Spiritual Leader, Pastor David Ibiyeomi against VerydarkMan. He told the members in a viral video that there is a time for peace and a time for war. “If you love your pastor carry you phone and rise and fight this fight,” he said.
