Students Abducted as Schools Shut Down in Rukubi, Nasarawa State

Schools in Rukubi, a community in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, have been shut down after unidentified armed men invaded Peter’s Foundation Secondary School and abducted an unspecified number of students.

 

The incident, which occurred on Friday, has triggered fear and panic across the area, prompting education authorities and community leaders to suspend academic activities as a precautionary measure.

Local sources said the attackers stormed the school during hours when students were present and whisked away several of them. However, the exact number of abducted students has yet to be confirmed by security agencies or school management.

Residents reported heightened security presence in the community as police and vigilante groups began combing surrounding bushes in search of the captives.
