Super Falcons broke a 16 years jinx to qualify for this year’s Olympics at the expense of hard fighting Bayana Bayana of South Africa.

Falcons had beaten the South African ladies by a lone goal at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja and then held their hosts to a goalless draw in Pretoria to progress. The Last time Falcons were at the Olympics was in 2008 in Beijing, China.
