Olamide Badoo Shocks D’banj As The Kokomaster Reacts
Nigeria rapper and song writer, Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, also known as Olamide Badoo, has given his compatriot and fellow music icon, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj, a huge shocker, forcing him to express his love for the Shakiti Bobo exponent.
In what could pass for the popular saying, ‘out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks’, D’banj took to the social media to reveal a major sacrifice Olamide made that gladdened his heart on one hand, and surprised him as well, and concluded by adding “I too love the man.”
“I was badly in need of a comeback hit and I reached out to Olamide to help me get one. He was supposed to travel to London the next day for an important business trip, but he delayed his flight for four days just to write a proper song for me. I thought after sending me the song he will say “baba ya money na N50 million” but he just sent and wished me luck. I offered to compensate him at least with money for his London flight and he said na na nah! Baddo is doing so much behind the scenes of people. I too love that man,” he enthused.
Known for his readiness to collaborate with other artists with a view to bringing out the best in them, Olamide has delivered ten studio albums, all of which became super hits since bursting into the scene 14 years ago.
A graduate of Mass communication, of Tai Solarin University, Badoo, who sings in both English and Yoruba, is specialists in combination of afro beats, hip pop, and rap genres.
D’banj’s submission further gives credence to attestation in many quarters that the 35-year-old entertainer is a silent philanthropist, touching lives in many ways but choosing to be quiet about it.
If there is one thing the Durosoke inventor is passionate about, it is discovering and helping up and coming artists realise their dreams through his record label, YBNL, signing popular artists like Adekunle Gold,Lil Kesh and Temi Ovwasa among others.
