The announcement followed weeks of speculation after Simi appeared visibly pregnant in the music video for Adekunle Gold’s song My Love Is The Same, released in December 2025.

The video, which featured intimate family moments with the couple and their daughter, Adejare Kosoko, popularly known as Deja, had fueled rumours that the family was expecting another child.

Adekunle Gold and Simi, who tied the knot in a private ceremony in January 2019, welcomed their first child, Deja, in May 2020. Her birth inspired Simi’s hit song Duduke, which became a fan favourite and a defining moment in her career.

While the couple has confirmed the arrival of the twins, they have not publicly disclosed further details such as the babies’ names, gender or exact date of birth, choosing to keep those aspects private for now.

Since the announcement, congratulatory messages have continued to pour in from fans, colleagues in the music industry and well-wishers across social media, celebrating one of Nigeria’s most admired celebrity couples on the arrival of their newest family members.
