The Eagles will be based at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Ikot Ekpene, providing a comfortable and convenient environment for the team to prepare for the upcoming matches, Coach Austin Eguavoen nicknamed Cerezo  during his playing days, is expected to announce his squad for the two games this week. The encounter between Nigeria and their Libyan counterparts takes place on Friday, October 11 at the Nest of Champions.

Following the home match, the Super Eagles will embark on their journey to face the same opponents in Benina on Tuesday, October 15. This away fixture will present a different set of challenges as the Nigerian side will be subjected to playing on an artificial pitch.

Note that the Super Eagles currently hold the top spot in Group D with an impressive four points from two games. The upcoming matches against Libya present an opportunity for the Super Eagles to further solidify their position and continue their positive momentum in the qualifying campaign. It is important the Eagles get a very good result at home to reduce pressures associated with return leg matches away.

Coach of the Libyan side, Nasser Al-Hadiri’s has earlier announced his squad for the encounter and is aiming to pick a point if possible in Uyo, an herculean task for the Knights who are currently at the  bottom of Group D with just a single point after two rounds of matches.
