Ooni Of Ife Takes New Wife Few Months After Divorce

The Ooni of Ife, His Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, introduced his new wife on Tuesday, 6th of September 2022. This was made known by a video post that was published the Ooni of Ife’s Director of Media and Publicity, Moses Olafare. The new Omori of Ife is identified as Mariam Anako, an Ebira ethnic from Kogi State and an Oil and Gas Executive.


The video showed the moment the new bride was accompanied by  Ife Chiefs into the palace to meet the Ooni.
The top Yoruba authority has legally married Mariam, who happens to be the daughter of an ex-police officer and a community image maker.

Sources disclosed that the Ooni had met with his new in-laws for introduction since February this year  but the move was kept private as requested by the Ooni,  who did not want media hype. 

Mariam’s mother, according to sources, live in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, even though she had lost her dad at a young age and had to grow up in the family of Mohammed Dikko Abubakar,  the former Inspector-General of Police (IGP).

There might just be  another wife coming into the palace even after Mariam, following a visit by  a team of Chiefs from the Palace to the family of another ‘bride-to-be,’ Dr. Elizabeth Opeoluwa Akinmuda, in Magodo area of Lagos on Wednesday, September 7.

Miss Akinmuda, a native of Ondo  in Ondo State, is  said to be a  Scotland-based Electronic Data Processor.

However, PBA was unable to confirm the reports  on the potentiality of a new wife after Miriam.
