Little Ifeanyi drowned after being under water for a long time before he was spotted

It’s a sorrowful Monday night in the Lagos home of one of Nigeria’s famous artistes, David Adeleke aka Davido as he lost his first son, Ifeanyi.

Ifeanyi, Prime Business Africa reports, drowned in a pool at the Banana Island residence of the artiste on Monday evening.
Those close to the Davido family said the sad incident threw the entire neighbourhood into mourning.

According to insiders, little  Ifeanyi was said to have been underwater for a very long time
before someone spotted him.

He was immediately pulled out and rushed to the Lagoon Hospital Ikoyi, where he was confirmed dead on arrival.

Details of the circumstances leading to little Ifeanyi being left alone in the pool before he was drowned was still sketchy at the time of filing this report.

The tragic incident occurred few days after Ifeanyi’s birthday (October 20).

The parents, Chioma and Davido had, on October 20, celebrated Ifeanyi’s birthday in grand style.

There have been efforts by Davido to teach the little child some swimming lessons.

In a video making the rounds on social media, Davido and little Ifeanyi were seen inside the pool in his Banana Island mansion in what appeared a swimming lesson for the vibrant little child. An impressed Davido was heard saying: ”This one go learn quick.”

Recall that another musician, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, also known as D’banj, and his wife, Lineo Didi, lost their first child in the same manner in 2018.
