Helpful Tips To Help You Enjoy Working From Home

Looking at the new realities in today’s world, there is every reason to smile as the days roll by. The coronavirus lockdown changed a lot of analogue ways of thinking, helping Nigeria to position fast for the future.

But hey! It’s not about COVID-19 today. It’s about you. Now that you’ve probably been working from home, you may have developed hate for your new found ‘love’ in earnest. You miss your tea breaks, small talks and other office paroles with your colleagues. But don’t be dismayed. Here are four ways to beat work-from-home blues:

  1. Set up proper office space: Please don’t work from your bed. Simulate your office space right there in your home by setting up a proper workstation. That way, you can separate work from play which means increased productivity. You can make use of a chair that wouldn’t make you lousy. Oh…if only you’d set up proper workstation. It will make you experience that whiff you miss so much in your office.
  2. Change out of your pyjamas: Do you want to increase output? Then get ready for the day properly. This is not asking you to literally wear suit to work from home. You could anyway if it will motivate you. But try to look presentable. It will give you that sense of corporate. Think about if you have to take a zoom call on your pyjamas. Not just okay.
  3. Don’t be the all-work, no-play Jackie: Take a time out for break. Observe your break just as you would in the office. It will help you fight depression and boost your adrenaline. But make sure your break is timed so you can return to work in due time.
  4. Take care of your health and well-being: Please don’t forget to prioritise your health. With the global health crisis beclouding us, it is important to give priority to your health.

Do you work from home? What tactics are working for you?
